Conflicts are an avoidable part of close relationships. Your child is definitely going to face conflicts with friends. How they handle those conflicts will determine whether those friendships continue, grow stronger, or end. This presentation is filled with practical strategies you as a parent can use to help your kid navigate friendship rough spots, including what to do when another kid is mean to your child, when our child tends to annoy other kids, and when your child has a high conflict “frenemy” relationship. Conflicts with friends can be painful, but they’re also opportunities for children to learn about others and themselves and gain skills they will use throughout their lives.
