SUMMARY:The Bouncing Souls- Born to Be Tour with The Suicide Machines
DESCRIPTION:The Bouncing Souls play Born to Be and celebrate their classic albums\, with The Suicide Machines performing Destruction by Definition. \n\n\n\n\nDoors at 6:00pm. Show at 7:00pm. Join us before the show! Our restaurant & lounge opens at 4:00pm with food\, cocktails\, and more. \nThe Bouncing Souls are something of a punk rock institution. The band have been consistently churning out their beloved brand of anthemic punk since 1989\, and have earned an intensely loyal fanbase with tireless touring and an unrelenting love of making music. As the band approached the creation of their tenth full length\, they sought to make a record that captured the spirit of their earlier work\, while incorporating who they are today. That record is Simplicity and its 13 tracks of undeniably infectious punk rock prove that The Bouncing Souls have a lot more to say. \nIn making Simplicity\, The Bouncing Souls set out to write songs that\, first and foremost\, would translate into the live environment. With over 20 years worth of anthems under their collective belt\, it’s a challenge to write a setlist that incorporates newer material\, but Simplicity’s many standouts are more than up to the task. Next\, the band enlisted the help of producer John Seymour\, who manned the mixing boards for their fan favorite LPs How I Spent My Summer Vacation and Anchors Aweigh\, to record the album with all of the raw energy of the live performance. The production of Simplicity perfectly embodies the band’s bite and power\, the driving guitars\, prominent bass\, rock-solid drums\, and soaring vocals all cutting through with no unneeded studio shine. From speedy hardcore-influenced ragers\, to comparatively tender punk ballads\, Simplicity’s dynamics show every side of The Bouncing Souls. \nOn Simplicity\, The Bouncing Souls do what so few long-running bands are able to accomplish: they utilize all of the skills and lessons that come from over 20 years of making music\, while still capturing the reckless spontaneity of their past work. That delicate balance can only be found if there’s a sincerity in the songs that comes from genuine love of playing music together\, and The Bouncing Souls have that in spades. \nThe Suicide Machines are a Ska/Punk band formed in March 1991 in Detroit\, Michigan. During the course of their career\, the band has released seven full-length albums on the labels Hollywood Records\, SideOneDummy Records\, and Fat Wreck Chords\, as well as several EPs and singles. They have experienced lineup changes over the years\, all with the founding member Jay Navarro as lead singer and frontman. The contemporary lineup includes Ryan Vandeberghe-Malburg on drums\, Rich Tschirhart on bass\, and Justin Malek on guitar. \nThe Suicide Machines have achieved a high level of recognition through relentless touring\, radio play (notable having their song “No Face” on KROQ’s Top 106.7 in 1997)\, and song placement in popular movies and video games. \n2026 marks the 30 year celebration of their Destruction by Definition record\, which the band plans to tour relentlessly in support of. \nNightmares Of The West might be Strike Anywhere’s first new music in over a decade\, but in some ways the five-piece hasn’t changed at all. These seven songs – six brand new originals and a cover of “Opener” by London punks Blocko – are as full of fire and fury as anything the band has written since forming in Richmond\, VA in 1999. At the same time\, this EP infuses the band’s ideological vision with the perspective its members have now\, both as people in general\, but also as political activists and musicians currently living in the USA – somewhere that’s markedly different from how it was when Iron Front\, their last album\, was released in 2009. \nHuman Issue is a Southern California hardcore punk band rooted in the raw urgency of 80shardcore. Fast\, direct\, and stripped of excess\, the band pairs short-burst songwriting with sharp\,poetic lyrics and a strict “get in\, get out” approach. Founded by Hunter Martinez\, Human Issue began as a music collective rather than a fixed lineup. Members are interchangeable\, egos are checked at the door\, and the band keeps moving no matter who’s available. If someone can’t make a show or a session\, the work still gets done. \nAll guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside the building. Failure to provide proper supervision may result in removal from the premises. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests. \n🎟️ Note: $1 from every ticket sold goes to a fund benefiting local artist mental health & wellbeing. \nPlease note that all ticket purchases are final and nonrefundable.

SUMMARY:Swing Jazz Wednesdays: The Westerlees
DESCRIPTION:Swing Jazz Wednesday at The Argo — The Westerlees brings vintage heat to the North Shore’s newest live music space. \n\n\n\n\nDoors at 6:00pm. Music at 7:00pm. Join us before the show! Our restaurant & lounge opens at 4:00pm with food\, cocktails\, and more. \nThe Westerlees swing band plays both rare and popular tunes from the early 20th Century. Steel Guitar\, Fiddle\, Clarinet all come together to recreate the standard Western Swing lineup of the 1930’s. Everything from the Light Crust Doughboys to Bob Wills to Hank Williams is performed with levity and humor. Swing-era standards are carefully selected and arranged for maximum danceability. They also have many original tunes that capture the drollery of the Western Swing genre. \nThe band was founded in 2014 by singer and steel guitarist\, Patrick Brenner. The band also includes Ed Novak on Guitar\, Ben Holt on Upright Bass\, Allen Russell on Fiddle\, Jerry Kaye on Sax and Clarinet\, Frank Gualtieri on Trombone\, Amanda Mae on vocals\, and a rotating cast of other soloists and vocalists\, each bringing their own expertise and personality to the delectably nostalgic sound and performance of the Westerlees. \nSwing Jazz Wednesdays are casual\, welcoming\, and all about the music. Come as you are\, grab a seat and listen\, or dance the night away. Join us for free swing dance lessons starting at 6:00 PM! Whether you’re a total beginner or just want to brush up your moves\, this is the perfect chance to get into the rhythm before the show. Come early\, learn something new\, and hit the dance floor with confidence! \nAll guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and supervised at all times while inside the building. Failure to provide proper supervision may result in removal from the premises. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

SUMMARY:Russian Circles with Pelican
DESCRIPTION:Join Russian Circles for an immersive night of heavy\, cinematic instrumental music and powerful live energy you won’t want to miss. \n\n\n\n\nDoors at 7:00pm. Show at 8:00pm. Join us before the show! Our restaurant & lounge opens at 4:00pm with food\, cocktails\, and more. \nHalfway through the four-year touring cycle for their eighth full-length record Gnosis\, Chicago-based instrumental trio Russian Circles hit the two-decade anniversary of their formation. One might expect a band to capitalize on such a major milestone. Instead\, guitarist Mike Sullivan\, drummer Dave Turncrantz\, and bassist/keyboardist Brian Cook spent 2024 unceremoniously touring in support of their most recent album across Australia\, South America\, Europe\, and North America. After all\, this is the work ethic that built Russian Circles into one of the biggest heavy instrumental rock bands in the world. This is a band with no hit songs. No fan consensus on their best album. Just a reputation for consistency and quality. \nNot that things haven’t changed in the last 22 years. The band is now spread out between Chicago\, Los Angeles\, and a rural island off the coast of Seattle. While the trio insists their music is a confluence of broad-ranging influences—the formidable Touch & Go artists of the Midwest\, the prog giants of late ‘60s and early ‘70s England\, the hypnotic motorik and kosmische grooves of West Germany\, the international underground’s most caustic strains of metal—it is fair to say Russian Circles’ adventurous diversity has evolved into its own distinct sound. As one of the notoriously press-shy members anonymously mentioned\, “the music we make is a collective process of reconciliation\, navigation\, and reflection upon aging both as individuals and as a creative entity. Life has created very real distances between us\, but the band continues to be at the center\, and this creative collaboration is a way of charting the passage of time while also giving us a reason to look to the future.” On their latest album\, Nine\, the band triangulates their relative positions into singular seismic long-form album-oriented soundtracks to the trials and tragedies of life in the modern age.

SUMMARY:Big Richard
DESCRIPTION:Big Richard brings their high-energy bluegrass sound to the stage\, performing songs from Pet\, a powerful album recorded live to tape. \n\n\n\n\nDoors at 7:00pm. Show at 8:00pm. Join us before the show! Our restaurant & lounge opens at 4:00pm with food\, cocktails\, and more. \nBluegrass band Big Richard makes music for the 21st century’s twisted cultural unease. Their latest album Pet\, is a fierce\, provocative\, rejoinder to what troubles them and the world right now\, which was recorded live to tape in order to capture the fervor of their live shows. \n“Big Richard is so much about our energetic delivery\, and so I think it’s been really important for us as a group to figure out how to do that for a record\,” says mandolin and guitar player Bonnie Sims. \n“We made the album all on tape and did it all in these single-shot performances\,” cellist Joy Adams adds. “The collection of songs\, we wanted to take our most hard driving\, heavy hitting songs\, we wanted to craft a banger set list. Like\, if we had a 30-minute set\, what would we put on there that says the most\, and makes people feel the broadest bunch of feelings? And it was all these songs.” \nAdams and Sims both studied music and toured and played extensively before (and outside of) joining Big Richard\, as did the other members of the band: Adams has three degrees in cello\, toured with Darol Anger and Nathaniel Rateliff\, and has recorded for television and film (including the Queen’s Gambit); Sims\, who grew up playing music with her family\, has a degree in commercial music\, with a vocal specialization in yodeling\, toured and recorded extensively with her husband\, Taylor Sims (including a platinum-certified record); fiddler Eve Panning\, who also grew up playing with her family\, studied violin performance and music education\, taught orchestra\, and played in bluegrass bands\, including touring widely with classical group Barrage; and bassist Hazel Royer started out playing music with her dad Eric Royer in the Boston\, MA folk and rock music scene\, and studied at the Berklee College of Music.

SUMMARY:Talk Pirate to Me 5K/10K/Half
DESCRIPTION:Ahoy\, mateys! Hoist the colors and join us for the Talk Pirate to Me 5K/10K/Half Marathon\, a swashbuckling adventure on the run celebrating International Talk Like a Pirate Day all month long. Whether you’re a seasoned captain or a landlubber just looking for some fun\, gather your crew and set sail for a race filled with pirate spirit\, treasure\, and plenty of “Arrr’s!” \nChoose your quest—5K\, 10K\, or Half Marathon—and chart your course to the finish line. Every buccaneer who successfully walks the plank and crosses the finish line will earn a custom finisher medal worthy of any pirate’s treasure chest. \nWe’re headed to Richard E. Maslowski Glendale Community Park in Milwaukee (Glenadale) for an 8:30 am start\, and hitting the trail to celebrate the pirate in you. Come out dressed in your favorite pirate garb (and some running shoes)\, and we’ll hit the trail instead of walking the plank. \nAwards will be presented in all three distances to the top three male and female finishers in our traditional five-year age groups\, giving pirates of all ages a chance to claim their share of the booty. \nSo dust off your eye patches\, practice your pirate lingo\, and come celebrate a month of high-seas fun.
