2025 Award Winners: Celebrating Excellence 

Business of the Year: St. Francis Children’s Center 

Recognized for their profound commitment to serving families, St. Francis Children’s Center has demonstrated remarkable leadership and a consistent ability to meet evolving community needs. 

New Business of the Year: Bright Beginnings Pediatric Chiropractic 

With a dedicated focus on holistic wellness for families, Bright Beginnings has quickly become a trusted resource in our community, offering specialized care and a welcoming environment for children and parents alike.

Nonprofit of the Year: Schlitz Audubon Nature Center 

This award celebrates an organization that deeply enriches our community. Schlitz Audubon was recognized for its mission-driven work and its dedication to connecting people with the natural world. 

Business Education Partner of the Year: St. Rita Square 

St. Rita Square was honored for their proactive support of local workforce development and their meaningful partnerships with our schools. 

Green Business of the Year: Clarios 

Sustainability is at the core of their mission. Clarios received this award for their industry-leading recycling initiatives, which have a tangible global impact. 

Community Connector of the Year: Jobea Murray (Jobea Bakes) 

Jobea Murray is the definition of a connector. She was recognized for her active engagement in the North Shore, fostering relationships and weaving together resources for the greater good. 

Inspiring Business Person of the Year: Laura Felix (St. Francis Children’s Center) 

As Executive Director, Laura Felix has shown vision, integrity, and strong leadership. She approaches every community challenge—from funding to new programming—with unwavering creativity and determination. 

Workplace of the Year: Friendship Circle Café & Bakery

This award highlights the importance of culture. Friendship Circle has created a workplace centered on compassion and collaboration, making it a place where employees feel truly valued and supported. 

Marketing Excellence Award: St. Francis Children’s Center 

The “Garden of Daisies” campaign demonstrated the power of strategic marketing, raising over $28,000 and inspiring significant community impact through its visibility and engagement. 

Small Business Achievement Award: Milwaukee Headshots 

Recognized for both artistic merit and professional leadership, the owner of Milwaukee Headshots has distinguished themselves as one of Wisconsin’s top photographers. 

Best Hospitality & Customer Service Award: Schlitz Audubon Nature Center 

This award recognizes the “why” behind the service. Schlitz Audubon was honored for their commitment to providing a warm, welcoming, and deeply memorable experience for every guest.
