Is the membership fee based on the total number of employees for the whole company…or just our local office?
Membership fees are based on the total number of full time employees at your local office or branch. For instance, if your employer is a large bank organization, but you have 12 full-time employees at your North Shore Location…you only pay the membership based on 12 employees.
When will I get my Welcome Plaque and Window Decal?
Once a member is registered, we will disperse these items at chamber events.
Can I host a networking event at my location?
If you are an active NSCOC member, yes! Email us for more information
Do I have to join NSCOC to attend the events?
All are welcome! After all, we want to grow the chamber. However, NSCOC members attend all events at a reduced rate and they receive priority status. Plus, they receive first-rights to many opportunities. Only chamber members are able to SAVE hundreds and benefit from our tools, affiliate programs, member-to-member discount offers, and resources.
What are NSCOC DOLLARS?
NSCOC DOLLARS are rewards and perform like a “Gift Certificate”. They can be redeemed at Lunch and Learns and NETWORK AT NIGHTS only. They are transferable. We offer NSCOC Dollars as incentives, rewards, prizes, and as “thank you” gifts. North Shore Chamber members who refer new members to join the chamber receive $10 in NSCOC dollars to use at future networking events. These may not be used to pay for membership renewals.
Are you with the GCC? How come there are two chambers in the North Shore?
We are separate from the GCC. The North Shore Chamber of Commerce (NSCOC) operates in collaboration with Discover The North Shore and offers various networking opportunities, professional development programs, marketing tools, affiliate savings programs, and resources. NSCOC was designed by the local businesses based on surveys and qualitative research. NSCOC operates how a Chamber of Commerce Organization is supposed to. Our mission is to grow and support North Shore organizations. There is a published and active Board of Directors and a volunteer business committee.
